CARTRIDGES FOR WEAPONS, INERT PROJECTILE; or CARTRIDGES, SMALL ARMS

Special Provision 125

These dangerous goods may be handled, offered for transport or transported in accordance with subsections 1.17(2) to (4) of Part 1 (Coming into Force, Repeal, Interpretation, General Provisions and Special Cases) on a road vehicle, a railway vehicle or a vessel on a domestic voyage if

  1. the dangerous goods are classified and authorized in accordance with the Explosives Regulations, 2013;

  2. the dangerous goods are contained in inner means of containment that are placed in a strong outer means of containment designed, constructed, filled, closed, secured and maintained so that under normal conditions of transport, including handling, there will be no accidental release of the dangerous goods that could endanger public safety;

  3. each inner means of containment has a gross mass less than or equal to 5 kg;

  4. the outer means of containment has a gross mass less than or equal to 30 kg; and

  5. the outermeans of containment, as presented for transport, is capable of passing a test in accordance with Test Series 6(d) of Part I of the Manual of Tests and Criteria.
