A person must not import, offer for transport, handle or transport these dangerous goods unless
they are contained in a means of containment that is marked in accordance with section 4.23, or, for UN1005, ANHYDROUS AMMONIA, in a large means of containment, in accordance with section 4.18.2; and
they are accompanied by a shipping document that complies with subparagraph 3.5(1)(c)(vii).
This special provision does not apply to a person who transports these dangerous goods in accordance with an exemption set out in section 1.15, 1.17, 1.17.1 or 1.24.
These dangerous goods are forbidden for transport by vessel if they contain one or more of the following substances:
AMMONIUM HYPOCHLORITE;
AMMONIUM NITRATE liable to self-heating sufficient to initiate decomposition;
AMMONIUM NITRITES and mixtures of an inorganic nitrite with an ammonium salt;
CHLORIC ACID, AQUEOUS SOLUTION, with more than 10 % chloric acid;
ETHYL NITRITE, pure;
HYDROCYANIC ACID, AQUEOUS SOLUTION (HYDROGEN CYANIDE, AQUEOUS SOLUTION) with more than 20 % hydrogen cyanide;
HYDROGEN CHLORIDE, REFRIGERATED LIQUID;
HYDROGEN CYANIDE, SOLUTION IN ALCOHOL with more than 45 % hydrogen cyanide;
MERCURY OXYCYANIDE, pure;
METHYL NITRITE;
PERCHLORIC ACID with more than 72 % acid, by mass;
SILVER PICRATE, dry or wetted with less than 30 % water, by mass; or
ZINC AMMONIUM NITRITE.
