PETROLEUM SOUR CRUDE OIL, FLAMMABLE, TOXIC

Special Provision 106

When petroleum crude oil contains hydrogen sulphide in sufficient concentration that vapours evolved from the crude oil can present an inhalation hazard, the words “toxic by inhalation” or “toxic — inhalation hazard” or “toxique par inhalation” or “toxicité par inhalation” must be included

  1. on a large means of containment, next to the placard for the primary class; and

  2. on the shipping document, after the description required under section 3.5(1)(c) of Part 3 (Documentation).

Special Provision 150

An approved ERAP is required for the dangerous goods referred to in paragraph 7.2(1)(f) of Part 7 (Emergency Response Assistance Plan).
